Leadership

Jeremy became our first pastor in the fall of 2024. Prior to that, Jeremy was an Assistant Pastor at a sister CREC congregation in Langley, BC, under Rev. Garry Vanderveen. Jeremy is happily back in the United States after living in Canada for 13 years, where he finished his theological studies and met his wife Stephanie. 

Jeremy loves preaching and teaching the Word of God, but especially delights in working with smaller groups and in individual discipleship settings. Jeremy is also a Biblical Counselor certified by the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC), the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation (CCEF), and the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC).

In his free time Jeremy enjoys sharing life with his wife and five sons  exploring the Pacific Northwest and bird watching, as well as playing basketball and ultimate frisbee. He also enjoys cozying up with a good fantasy, historical fiction, church history, or American history book. He is a bit of an anomaly amongst Reformed Pastors, in that he does not have a beard, nor does he enjoy whiskey or cigars.

Joshua moved to Whidbey Island in 2021, alongside his wife Kristi and their children (now four) and their extended family, in order to own and operate a Christmas tree farm that serves the island. He also works as a loan officer for home mortgages, and in his spare time, he enjoys reading and running (not at the same time).

Luke came to Whidbey Island in 2020, alongside his wife, Meagan, and was one of the founding households that planted Christ Covenant Church as it was taking root in 2020 and 2021. His passion is in his labor that the Word of God dwell richly in the body through music and liturgy that is deeply rooted in Scripture. He labors vocationally as a software engineer.
